The Senior Ministry’s model of service is found in Luke 10:33-35: “But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, took him to an inn and took care of him. The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ’and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’”
With this in mind, we are involved in the following ministry endeavors:
*Helping bring people to our church services and home groups.
*Assisting people with doctor appointments and shopping for necessities.
*Celebrating birthdays every month.
*Helping others as the needs arise.
*Bringing food for the food closet for people who are in need.
*We work together with the elders to help with any outreach projects as they arise.
We meet on the 2nd Friday of every month for a potluck lunch, fellowship, and games. We also take group trips as the opportunity presents itself. We welcome any and all who would like to join us for events, and are open to suggestions for how we could serve the community and the church family in any other way.
